Normally we’d aim for a funder update on Fridays, however we have some last minute news for your face, and so meet the bastard hybrid of Friday Funders and Missive Mondays: the Weekend Update. It has some news, and some group funders for you (mostly funders, as the news is time-sensitive). Of course, now that you’ve seen through my pale excuse for being late again…

Dog Days of Summer Sale

Codito want you to know that they’re having a sale on all their in-house board games: Medici, Ra, Tikal, Tigris and Euphrates and the new Le Havre. Of course… August just means that Winter is finally dying down here in Oz, so this whole notion of heat in the middle of the year is literally foreign to me. So while you enjoy your dying summer warmth, I’ll sit quietly over here stealing it all.

The Dog Days of Summer Sale!

Because we know you can only have so many BBQs and you can only spend so many days on the beach before the boredom sets in and you realize there’s still 2 weeks left until the heat begins to pass…

Never fear, Sage Board Games saves the day again! All of our published board games are just $0.99 until Sunday!

So snap up your favorite board games at rock bottom prices and keep yourself entertained until well past Labor Day!

Indie Go-Go

So I figured I’d take a tour to some other parts of the funder world. Let me introduce you to some of the finest projects I could unearth from Indie Go-Go. There aren’t many iOS Board Games on offer here, so I can’t provide you options entirely relevant to this website’s premise. However, chances are that if you are a gamer who likes quality games, these will at least intrigue you.

First let me show you some Exodus; it is a “2D exploration/platformer”, currently for Windows, with Old-school gameplay and HD graphics:

Then, I will show you some Steel Stars:

Steel Stars is a game of intergalactic warfare amongst rival corporations in Earth’s dark future. With a near endless number of system configurations and multiple paths to victory (through the council, by researching technologies and advanced abilities, the creation of popular utopian worlds or by the might of your powerful fleets), Steel Stars offers new excitement and a rewarding game experience to 3-5 players.

I was also very pleased to see a SimAnt Remake; this is a game that I played fondly and I love seeing all these games being modernised for our audiences.

That’s all for now! Enjoy your weekend.

Completed a Masters of Jurisprudence at University of Sydney. I am an activist, dramaturge, and instigator of strange mind experiments. I’m a storyteller, and I mostly tell stories about people. These aren’t always stories you’ll find written down, they can be stories told over a coffee, told by firelight, told through art act and lifestyle. Of course, we all tell stories. We love our little fictions, lies and dreams – I just like to embellish a bit more than most. My current project of substantial size is called Eidolon. It can be found here: http://www.eidolon.me
